This Alicera is a spectacular bloomer (twice yearly), and is prone to putting out multiple spikes as the plant matures. The Alcra. orchid is a new cross of many different orchids that are being bred for their beauty. Bright yellow-orange highlights its reddish-brown tiger stripes on the upper sepals and petals, and it unfurls a large, red spotted lip on a yellow-orange background.
The photo above is one of the orchids in bloom (now in possession of our webmaster, who just could not refuse) - but plants may not be in spike when delivered - however, the spikes are well worth waiting for. Care is similar to that of a Miltoniopsis orchid (cool to intermediate temperatures), with more frequent watering required, especially when in spike.
